MJ was a genius... You might not have liked him but he had millions of fans... Most of the modern day acts are inspired by him matterfact there has not been any musical growth in modern day pop music since Michael...
His back catalogue is impressive and I think he had one of the most beautiful underrated voices in the industry... He was also a great song writer....
I agree that he had millions of fans and was one of the best dancers of all time.
The rest is hyperbole.
70m album sales on one album and an impressive back catalogue of fantastic music is not hyperbole. Girls aloud is hyperbole.
I'm afraid that the above comments I refered to are hyperbole. I know how it is when your musical hero dies. Mine did in 1993. I know what it means. Fraternal and to MJ fans but let's not get carried away.
Carried away? He was a musical genius, even if you're not a MJ fan his contribution cannot be denied. Genius, legend and all the acolaides attributed to him and his music is deserved. Hyperbole, not.
Musical genius? Quincy Jones.
