I've just seen the result show and I thought that Susan Boyle was really lovely at the end.

I thought Simon was hilarious as well when Ant and Dec said that everyone was deserving of winning and he totally disagreed Laugh

She seemed very genuine about Diversity winning.

Yeah, she did didn't she, it was lovely Big Grin

But, little did she know that it would not stop the vicious tongues from wagging. To tell the truth I secretly wished she wouldn’t win so she can start again in a while with the right PR working for her. Frowner

i dont think she was annoyed at all. it seemed to me she didn't know what planet she was on ................it was widely reported that she was stressed to the oint of walking ............IMO ......she'd been tranquilised to the nth degree............she really didn't know if she was coming or going.

It's a shame really ............all she wanted was the opportunity to perform in front of the queen ............suddenly everyone was talking about how she could break the US and all the mega bucks and record deals etc.

i dont think she ever wanted that. So sad that all the joy and excitement was simply sucked out of her in her last performance.

Putting it like that makes it really sad Frowner

I have to agree, I don't think she wants to break America or have countless album deals. I think she would have just quite liked to perform in front of the queen.

I know ....it's sad isn't it. The pressure that she was put under ..........she simply wasn't ready for it - who would be? I'm glad she didn't win .................i hope she can return and gain some sort of normality in her life ....................................I dont think for one moment she expected or wanted her life to be completely turned upside down.

Sorry to butt in, but I wanted to know if I was right

someone just sent me a youtube clip of what - apparently - passes for TV entertainment these days

A ludicrously clad fat greek bloke and his mini me fat son dancing like grasshoppers on acid

Apparently they made the final

Is this true? Do people really watch this? And like it?

Am I so out of step?

Indeed you are, we watched it and loved it. Just check the thread. Nod

I don't remember seeing them! but then I did miss the odd show.It really does bring home the fact they want daft acts ,not really good talent, hence Stavros Flatley, and old bloke break dancing etc.
