What about what he owes her though?

As much as I would love you to empty his account it is not worth it as it would be theft.

It would be interesting to see if he does have any money in the account and I see nothing wrong with getting a statement

FGS, dont give him the card back til you at least get a statement! Than you can shop him to the wonderful CSA and they will get him to start paying you immediately and of course backdate it all!!!! Maybe he emptied it, realising what he had done. Have to tell you l would not have wasted time discussing it here. Checked it out straight away, now keep a check on it.

Couldn't you have checked it today anyway, and then she could have got the mini statement tomorrow to see if he had cleared money out in case you did decide to get the money he owes you?
