A totally flat shoe/sandal etc is not good for your feet, your heel sould be at least one inch above your toes.

I am wearing a pair of asda toe post sandals, that are in the style of a trainer, as slippers at the mo and they are the comfiest things I have ever worn, and they were only ÂĢ15.
I went and bought another pair to 'stock up', cos they are so comfy. Nod

Big Grin

I love my Fly Flots....I even wear mine outta the house....especially if out walking in the summer and need closed in toes. Nod

It was good for mine when a transit van ran me over many years ago going right over my foot (twice)

Thanks to the flat shoes only a bruise and a bit of nerve damage...heels would have been broken foot/ankle and all sorts!!
Croctacus
I will not suffer shoes for the sake of style Shake Head - I never have, I do buy stylish shoes/sandals but they have to feel right as I try them on - if shoes need 'wearing in' they are not your size. I love flip flops, my Ugg flip flops and sandals from Clarkes, they are trying in the fashion trend and have some good ranges. I'm proud of my feet, even at 51! (One of the only things btw!)

Really? I thought Heels were good for Varicose veins Red Face.

Little heels at about an inch or so are....high heels can help cause them. Disappointed

Sometimes they need operating on later to increase blood flow to the feet...that is quiet unusual though....the main thing is they look so unsightly. Frowner

Big bluey veins bulging from your ankles to knees and sometimes higher. Most peeps get some varicose veins at some stage but the heels seem to make them happen so much earlier and far more pronounced.

I used to wear very high heels a lot when I was younger...then my Mum warned me. I am the same as you now...heels for special occasions only.
