I've been wearing a pair of the flat ballet pump things for the last 2 days, my legs are killing, not used to wearing flats..
I find it much easier to walk in wedges (with toe bar thing) or heels!!!!
Trouble is, I buy them, then like them so much I don't want to tramp to and from work in them and ruin them! I thought flats were the way forward as I walk a couple of mles a day...alas no!

A totally flat shoe/sandal etc is not good for your feet, your heel sould be at least one inch above your toes.

That was supposed to be an edit^^^^!
Pesky. I wear fly flot clogs as slippers in winter.
I am wearing a pair of asda toe post sandals, that are in the style of a trainer, as slippers at the mo and they are the comfiest things I have ever worn, and they were only ÂĢ15.
I went and bought another pair to 'stock up', cos they are so comfy.

i had given up trying to find pretty and comfy shoes as i have really wide feet... then i discovered evans do wide fit.... i now have a shoe habit and a boot full of pretty shoes must find summer sandals
(btw boot full of shoes is due to the fact i can only drive in trainers so change when i am where i need to be )

It was good for mine when a transit van ran me over many years ago going right over my foot (twice)
Thanks to the flat shoes only a bruise and a bit of nerve damage...heels would have been broken foot/ankle and all sorts!!
blimey - poor you

Just been looking at them!
I want two pairs though!
You have just got to stick with them until you break through the pain barrier - it will get better.
I will not suffer shoes for the sake of style - I never have, I do buy stylish shoes/sandals but they have to feel right as I try them on - if shoes need 'wearing in' they are not your size. I love flip flops, my Ugg flip flops and sandals from Clarkes, they are trying in the fashion trend and have some good ranges. I'm proud of my feet, even at 51! (One of the only things btw!)
quite right - but in an ideal world
i bought those party feet clear insole type cushion - rubbish
how do models and celebs do it
They develop corns and other nasties that come along with continuous heel wear...quote:Originally posted by EDWARDIAN LIL:

Iman and Naomi have busted feets... Extensive wear of high heels will wreck the feet....quote:Originally posted by EDWARDIAN LIL:

Little heels at about an inch or so are....high heels can help cause them.
Oh dear.... Thank God I dont like heels anyway except for special occasions.. A friend of mine eats, breathes and shits in heels How bad are these varicose veins?quote:Originally posted by *Pesky-Pixie*:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:

Sometimes they need operating on later to increase blood flow to the feet...that is quiet unusual though....the main thing is they look so unsightly.
Big bluey veins bulging from your ankles to knees and sometimes higher. Most peeps get some varicose veins at some stage but the heels seem to make them happen so much earlier and far more pronounced.
I used to wear very high heels a lot when I was younger...then my Mum warned me. I am the same as you now...heels for special occasions only.
Wow I had a varicose vein scare after a night on the town, but it was just a leg bruise lol.... I have seen pictures of them and they dont look good... Now I will avoid heels even more.... Thanks for that info...quote:Originally posted by *Pesky-Pixie*:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:

I will endure heels for a night out but do pay for it for days afterwards with welts and blisters I love wearing flats and spend all summer in thongs or gladiators or occasionally wedges.
