She must be devastated. Frowner do you know l'm not one for suing, but it's about time people were made to pay for their mistakes. And l expect she had to pay a hell of a lot for their services. My dad died recently, and we were charged nearly ÂĢ3,000 to have the cremation. And that was limiting, things to having one car etc.
I know she won't be thinking along those lines at this time, but his ashes are now gone, and whether she was going to have her own scattering or not that choice has been taken away from her.

A flippin letter? That's outrageous. She should complain, complain, complain.
Disgusting way to treat people Shake Head

i told her to phone them and they said *sorry it was a mistake* we do know where the ashes where scattered though Roll Eyes

i'd take legal advise, if i was here

Totally Nod
If they think she should just accept that, they're taking her for a mug, which is an added insult to what they've already done.
Tell her not to leave it at that - and also tell her to phone her local paper. They love stories like that.

Some nasty coverage may well shame the crem into a more fulsome apology or even compensation, which won't undo their mistake but it will sure make them be more careful in future Disappointed
