For those who remember my boss being stalked...

posted this a couple of weeks back....my boss arrived at work and was greeted by her ex hubby waving a knife at her and said he was going to kill himself and she had to watch....

update is.......he's been charged with 3 offences....

possession of a bladed weapon...

assault...

harrasment....

he goes to the magistrates court on june 22nd...

thanks to everyone who passed on tips on how was best for her to deal with it.....she found them really useful....so cheers for that xxx.....

I was wondering how she was, you are a good friend to her hun.

I hope he gets a custodial which will give her a bit of peace of mind but it's not likely so tell her to keep in touch with Womens Aid as they will advise her what she can do to keep herself safe x

thanks for all your replies......she cried today at work when she found out....she feels responsible etc....but we've all told her that she's done nothing wrong.....and he needs help.....and that if it had carried on it could have been alot worse....

veggieeeeee.....she's still in touch with womens aid....one of the many helpful suggestions i passed on....

Well done to her, tell her not to worry if it gets referred to crown, it will probably mean they want to give a custodial longer than 12 months.

P.S. I'm not respecting the stick anymore, I have a much abusive job now.

Awww.. I'm so pleased!! This is such a difficult issue... I know because I've been stalked and felt responsible when my ex (and father of my child) called me up on several occasions just about to commit suicide because I'd broken up with him. There weren't any threats to kill though. I'm really glad this has been taken seriously. Well done to you Spongebob for being such a good friend.

In all honesty, I can't see him getting a custodial sentence. As you suggest, I think it'll be either a community order (not unpaid work I don't think) or a suspended sentence; unless there is a pattern of this type of offending and he is deemed a risk to the public - which I just don't see.

.....have you contacted anyone in getting help to deal with it???.....loads of ppl told me to get in touch with womens aid....and there were loads of other organisations too that can help you deal with this sort of thing....

i honestly don't know what to say..just that i wish i could give you a big hug
