Do you have a child in year 3?I'd put my money on Seacole....went to the front line, strong enough to travel extensively and able to cope positively with adversity.
It would appear from what l have read that Mary had a great deal to contend with, stuck to her guns. And won through in the end.

Mary for sure. She had more to fight against than Flo so she would have been tougher. Funnily enough i was talking to my son about her yesterday.
I had never heard of Florence Nightingale until a school teacher used her as an example to introduce the concept of hypochondria.
