Replies sorted oldest to newest

I haven't used Freecycle, but looking at the site, when you registered you would have either been given a Yahoo address or you would have given your existing email address. So I think you should get sent emails from interested parties. If you have a look at the help page, it gives more info like what to do if you are not getting any emails, or if the number of emails you are getting is unmanageable.

what about the salvation army? they need furniture for some families and (because obviously you have plenty of time on your hands now the baby is born) is there somewhere you can place an ad "free to collector" etc.

I use freecycle all the time; it's great! You just never know what use someone might have for your old "junk". I recently submitted "old, broken-down patio furniture that's probably best for firewood" and it was snapped up immediately Smiler

Hopefully your group has a good moderator who sends things through quickly...sometimes it can get bogged down if messages stack up.
