I personally think they're (although the last slightly mundane) creative. Both Charlie/Saffia believe they've had to walk over glass to prove they really want to be HM's. Karly truly believes she let a motorbike ride on her stomach for 30 seconds in order to do the same.

No they should have tasks that everyone can join in, and so all have an equal chance. When the special forces lot went into the house, they chose who would do the glass walking and motorbike thing.

It was never specified that all HMs would take part in ALL tasks; it was said the tasks would be exclusive to certain HMs and that sometimes they'd go head to head with each other.
