one is a start but it needs a whole lot more of the cowardly bastards to admit that the public have no confidence in them and want them out, gb or no gb that part makes no difference.

They are more bothered about their own gravy train careers than the country BBBS

well thats certainly true but what i dont get is that their gravy train is getting derailed and at the next election most of them will be off to the knackers yard so why prolong the agony and rub it in?

Because Mandy is clinging on to power for as long as he can.

I really don't understand this inverted snobbery against the Daily Mail. Most people who make disparaging remarks about the paper and its readers have probably never actually read it, so they don't know what they are talking about. They're just repeating a mantra they picked up somewhere which they think sounds clever.

Hi. I'm not most people. I read it every now and again to offset bias. I also variously read the Times, Guardian, and Independent. Moreover, I've comparatively assessed the paper as part of a philosophy/politics degree course in a media studies sort of way for its language, format, and so on.

Hope this helps.

Fair enough. As a graduate which included some study of politics, you have been trained to question all you read in the papers and see on the news until further information becomes available, when you can make your evaluation.

Unfortunately, the general populace often accept what is plonked before them, which is how politicians and newspapers can take advantage of them.

I'm Mr Cynical and I question everything. I usually go back to the primary sources where I can. That's why I'm such a twat on here. Occupational hazard. Ninja

Compared to what I had to deal with over the weekend you aren't. More of a Division three flange IMO.

Well, you're not a twat on here!

Have to say how delighted I am with the level of discussion we BB Forum fans are having on here. There's a lot of brain-power behind this particular BB audience! (Never mind whether we agree or disagree!) Hug

Low Blow Joe Disappointed

Oh really?
Where were you when this particular **** was all over the threads boasting of voting for the BNP?

i was right here, not boasting, just stating my right against the kind of people who seem to think that democracy is only ok when people agree with you as is made quite clear by your statement above.

anyway since you are so superior and my comment about labour mp's being cowardly bastards cant be accepted by yourself simply because of who i chose to vote for in one meaningless election (which says a whole lot more about you than me) i was luckily watching bbc news 24 a little earlier after teatime and a strange thing happened, they were doing political interviews with various people tied to westminster(you know, the kind who know about politics like i dont) and one of the commentators made this comment..
click to download.

click the link and download the avi file, the download link is near the bottom right of the page where it says "Save file to your PC: click here".

apologies in advance for the less than sparkling quality, i have no experience of tv capture but i do know that turning a 16:9 source into 640x480 xvid is going to mess up the aspect ratio quite a bit but its the content thats important simply because it says almost exactly the same as i did.

i would of course encourage others to download it and watch it too simply because that way you can see that despite joes constant attacks on me i was in this case at least not the only one with an interest in politics who thought the same thing, i ask you to do this because it looks like joe wouldnt watch it because i dared to vote for a political party that is against joes version of "democracy".

Au contraire! You discovered my Achilles Heel. For various reasons ranging from my parents experience during WW II, to my own of being attacked by the National Front while walking back to my hovel from York University, I am unable to accept that someone might liken voting for these people to an amusing jape.

I am so anti BNP, I can't believe that the four goons standing alongside Griffin on that platform didn't physically attack him. They had every opportunity to do so.

It does. I notice 'Femail' has a Cole story in its clicky thing on the right.

Looking at the rest of the stories on the left, there's a theme that immediately jumps out. Well, it does to me.

I didn't want her to do X Factor at first, but I'm glad she did now because more people are seeing that she isn't this evil bitch that a lot of people thought she was. Smiler
I've always thought she was amazing for about the last 6 and a half years Razzer and gorgeous.

yes, yes, my parents were also around in ww2 one getting bombed one getting torpedoed although at that time they werent married, that didnt happen until into the late 50's and of course i've had the the "usual" comments of f***ing p**i bastard" from the gangs of meatheads when younger too (indian born father) just prior to having to dodge bricks but i most certainly did not use my vote as a "jape".

i'd guess that the other candidates (or by then elected mep's) didnt attack him on stage simply because they are democrats too and no matter how distasteful they may well have found him it is an unavoidable fact that he was elected and had the right to be there, of course walking out as he spoke was a well timed and perfectly reasonable stunt, it also shows the difference between a law abiding democrat (the goons as you call them) and the rent a mob of thugs outside every bit as nasty and threatening as the equally bad skinhead thugs and given the chance they would have acted in exactly the same way, making them absolutely no better, as someone on tv said, maybe it would have been better if they'd gone and voted instead Wink

as expected, i noticed you didnt view the video i uploaded for you, pity but i cant say i'm surprised, even though it is exactly what i said it was and nothing to do with any extremists.

Unless that 'someone' thought they were BB fans, I would presume that they voted on Thursday, like the rest of us! Wink

good point although i think he was suggesting that they were too busy planning that protest to have bothered, but what do i know, i wasnt the one that said it (it was also around 4am so he might have been a little tired if he'd been up and involved all day).
