I have a poorly eyeball Crying

I was in the shower and rubbed my eye and thought my contact had come out, i checked and couldnt see it in my eye (i spent a while rubbing it to see if it would appear but it didnt) so i put another one in.. yesterday it got really sore so i've had to take it out again and am wearing my glasses but its still quite painful and uncomfortable... i am scared in case i've 'lost' the other lense in my eye socket now somewhere! Anyone had any experience of this? If it doesn't clear up by mid week i'll be going to the Opticians..

Mummy Maz, I once lost half a lens in my eye, got it out by pouring a bottle of mineral water in my open eyeball it isn't painful but will flush it out. Failing that you may have scratched you eye with the rubbing. I once had a scratched cornea if it is really sore ( I felt like I had pulled a muscle in my eye then after a day or two it went totally red) then go straight to hospital as they will need to treat it with drops.

Owww!

I've had this happen a couple of times too - years ago I must have been unlucky enough to get a bad batch and they kept breaking up while I was wearing them.

I just kept flushing my eye with saline solution and then blinking a lot to try and get the bit/s back to the front where I could then fish them out but as Jonono says you might just have scratched your eye, that makes it feel like there's something in there too.

Either way, if your still in a lot of discomfort tomorrow I think it'd be best to pop along to your optician to be on the safe side.
