I wonder if Ch4 might reconsider the live feed issue now it's hitting the press?

Have they mentioned voting figures, does anyone know? Voting must have drastically dropped along with viewers and if they're strapped for cash as they say, it must be hurting them.

Ch4 are fools if they expect people to vote for something that, without live feed, they can't witness for themselves.

Lack of LF has definitely put me off BB, because it's the only real way to see HMs as they are, rather than how the producers want them to seem.

I'm so surprised I mean the live feed we're getting is so full of excitment and life!

05.14: One of the housemates smacks their lips while another grunts. Someone sniffs, and the group continues to sleep. One of the housemates coughs. The snoring carries on.

Ratings have been falling over the past 2 to 3 years - it’s been a steady decline. I don’t think the lack of LF is making any significant difference, if it was they wouldn’t hesitate to bring it back – reckon it just doesn’t have the same appeal it once did.
I always have a check of bookies odds at the outset and keep an eye on them as the series progresses; this year is the first I’ve seen bookies offer odds on the series being axed before the official end date.

i take it you never used any bb forums before this year then? with the lf they were in constant flow, now its bb stuff only during the hl show, the rest is fans / hate (how when you couldnt get to know?) and just general chit chat, thats the difference the lf makes and why its so badly missed.

ch4 know it makes a significant difference but some imbecile there (who needs sacking) keeps insisting that its not going to come back, one assumes its simply a matter of ego, his is more important that the show failing.

Yes I did use the forums, there aren’t any dedicated C4 forums this year though – so the ‘flow’ was bound to be affected.

To put it into perspective, last year on the C4 forum we were averaging around 500 online on a (very) good night, that’s 0.01% of the 3.6 million viewers who watched BB9 on average - the forums have never been representative of anything.

C4 don't 'know' that it makes a significant difference; they haven’t canned it just to piss off the teensy amount of folk who were watching it. Clearly it wasn't cost effective for them to provide the service, in the same way it wasn't cost effective to cater for the 0.01% of viewers who used the forum.

last year there were many times when the bbgf hit over 2000 and the ch4 forums werent the only ones, take a look at ds and you'll see a forum that was running last year and this so is a better way to judge, this year its dead compared to last year, and that IS the live feed difference.

even the papers have picked up on it along with some presenters and previous hm's surely they cant all be wrong, remember even endermol wanted it restored and i gues they too know what a difference it was making.

remember that they are still filming / editing the feed 24/7 and they still own the "secret" channel on sky so they are still paying for it, just not paying a transmission fee i'd bet the total cost of the live feed is far far less than the cost of the "guests" on the support shows and reading reports online suggests that most of these paid guests havent a clue about bb other than what they have been told to say.

IHATETHEMALL.IHATETHEMALL.IHATETHEMALL.IHATETHEMALL.
I am known in my class for "watching too much big brother"
I almost gave my friends a heart attack when I told them I wasn't watching when they asked me who I wanted to go... I don't even know their names...
Last year was a hard year to follow with the likes of SexyRexy (*sniff* Best housemate EVER) but there isn't one redeeming housemate there... Its a right let down.
And... there aren't any hotties... Frowner

But if you're not watching how do you know you hate them all. Confused

Okay, I've watched 3 episodes. And heard what my mum's said.

Even a bit of live feed during the day and earlier in the evening would change things for me. I miss seeing what they're doing on a Sunday afternoon(the aerobics classes last year were fab Big Grin) , and used to watch them in the evening but now 1am is way too late for me to start watching.

I don't feel like I know this lot this year, they're one-dimensional and I'm losing interest rapidly. I'm sure the live feed has something to do with it.
