I dont think examiners mark down for spelling mistakes Smiler...

No they don't, but I personally think it's wrong.
But people are nervous... Frowner

I know they are PCE, but you can carry on and get a degree or whatever, but how are they going to cope in the real world. Companies will not put up with spelling mistakes, all i'm saying is that if they are not corrected, how will they learn Confused
You have to remember that in exams people are writing from memory under intense conditions... In the real world, they use word documents etc so Im sure that wouldnt be a major problem....

Also it would be nice if examiners give students their scripts so that students can learn from their mistakes but that never happens...

Best of luck Darlo.
I've just been to a meeting at my daughters school about her GCSEs next year...they wanted to get her a scribe and extra time for writing but she's refused Ninja

I'm surprised, it would have meant she could rabbit on...she's finds shutting up difficult Laugh

I was offered that Ninja, but I refused I didn't need it. Good luck to your daughter Thumbs Up. The extra time is I think about 25% extra the student has to go somewhere else though for it, but still under exam conditions. She probably feels she can do it all in the time that is allowed Nod.

I never got back my scripts only what I scored so I never knew my mistakes... The only advice from my tutor was that I should learn to write better because my handwriting gets all jumbled up...

We go for meeting with the tutors and they tell you where you went wrong and how you could improve Smiler
Yeah handwriting is the major problem, there was something on the news a few weeks ago about how the amount of papers that can't be marked is increasing really quickly.
