It's a bloody nightmare Sooz, our VAT office used to be in Southend Essex so we used to drive it up there at 5 minutes to Midnight, the security guard would stamp it to show you'd hit the dead line, now they've moved and if you pay on line you can bet that's the day Virgin Mediocre broadband goes down.

Yeah, leaving to last minute exactly the same as above, but am trying to be early this month!!!! They aren't actually that strict about being late 'cos I've posted cheques to Mr VAT man 2 or 3 days late & not had any warnings yet!!!

Fortunately our quarters fall different ..............over the Christmas period we're No, Dec, Jan (Due Feb) short month and always causes a panic - as does May, June, July (due August) usually holidays ..........it's all a complete pain in the rear.

He is my OH's favourite ever housemate and he often likes to imitate him saying "och nooooo!"

My quarters are different too. It was ages before we realised that we were meant to pay VAT. So we approached them and they were very pleasant about it even though we were 18 months in arrears. I do it all online now. I am told that there is so much large scale VAT fraud that it is less likely that they will inspect as regularly as before.

Shebaz's was the worst case of bullying that any BB housemate received over any series. The entire house turned against him. BB were very irresponsible to have put him in the house in the first place though. It was clear that he was unstable and vulnerable. Kinda like Sree this year.
