I think it indicates your on/offline status lainy.

There is an option to hide your online/offline status.
Maybe those without gingerbread men have opted for that, or they got hungry and ate them.

BTW, the gingerbread man stays orange for about half an hour after you've signed off, apparently.

Hey guys, that's not actually how it's supposed to work...you're supposed to always have a gingerbread man, and it's either grey or yellow, depending on whether you're offline or online. If you've chosen to hide from the online list, you're just grey all the time.

If you see this behavior again, can you please do a screen capture for me, so I can get someone on it?

I was thinking it was gold or platinum..I thought I looked snazzy in my white metal outfit.

I Rosemary, I chose to be hidden at livecloud, so I don't show up on the online list, the gingerbread man does glow when you are online even when you choose to be hidden, you don't show up on the online list though. Another confusing thing is not only are you glowing you are glowing in every thread you've posted in, which is confusing because you may be writing a blog but other FM's might assume you are in a thread with them when you're not. I've checked this from 2 computers 1 computer I was logged in and another I was a guest.

You are seeing yourself glow because you aren't hiding your status from yourself (does that make sense?). Any time you are online, you will see yourself lit up, regardless of whether you're hidden to others.

The gingerbread man is not specific to threads, it's specific to your current status in the overall system. If anyone is confused thinking you're in a specific thread because your man is glowing (that sounds weird), then it's just going to be a learning curve, I think.

All this talk of glowing reminds me of the Readybrek kids!

Hi Rosemary thought it could be because all my computers are the same ISP, I've just got someone to log in as a guest who is not a member of Livecloud and lives 30 miles from me and they could see my gingerbread man glowing.
