I haven't listened to him for a while bcause I'm a night owl and not usually up when he's on, but when I was working I used to drive to work listening to him and he was ok; having said that, I think it's time for a change. Chris Evans is good in the evening, so I think he'll be fine in the morning. He's mellowed quite a bit. Big Grin

A very hard act to follow. But Chris Evans, in spite of his unreliable past, seems to be a safe pair of hands at the moment.

maybe they should have had a run of 'guest' presenters-of the old school type

I'm not sure if Janet and John is dry humour. It's more what I would call filth with a slightly moist feel to it.
I listen to Chris at tea-time and I think that he could pull it off, so to speak.
Thank Bog Steve Wright wasn't in the running.

It's that bloody canned laughter that annoys me.
Ricky Gervaise or some other doyle only needs to say "Good Afternoon Steve!" and the studio possee dissolve into hysterics.

I like him though Thumbs Up always did Cool

Radio 2 has changed a lot and Chris Evans has been doing the Drive Time show for quite a while now and doing it really quite well, so I think he'll be fine in the mornings.
