He got ÂĢ5,500 for it when our local dealership only offered ÂĢ4,500.

I couldn't believe it...makes me wonder how he got home though Confused

My Dad was a wheeler dealer, motor trade dealer, sort of Del-boy but on a grander scale and he once sold the family car while they were going on holiday in it!! He parked all their stuff, Mum and the kids on the side of the road when he got a deal he couldn't turn down Big Grin I wasn't born at the time and Mum never did say what she called him but her sister and husband were going on holiday with them and they were in a separate car and they didn't stop when they saw them there, they just sailed on past!

Good on your Dad, he sounds like my hubby! Big Grin

Talking of CBoot sales - anyone done one and sold stuff that isn't their car btw?! Only I'm de-cluttering as we're doing the house and and as an ex-lecturer I have loads of books ranging from 11yrs-uni and ornaments I don't want (my late Mum used to be a manageress in Debenhams and she used to buy everything - lovely stuff, too good to throw away).

I just sold our washing machine to a bloke - well 10 mins ago as we're doing the house up (after 28 yrs! and the kids are leaving!) I had to carry it half way down the Street as it didn't have wheels and he couldn't park any closer - he did say I 'not many women would have don't that'! I do work out three times a week but god that was heavy! But, I'm glad it's gone - he wants our fridge/freezer now so I have to find an integrated one, they're so much smaller Roll Eyes !

i often sell things but as i don't have a car my daughter obliges, or you could advertise the lot in your local paper e.g. "car boot sale items"
