Freddie made the mistake of becoming too sure of himself

Yes, when watching this afternoon, I noticed, he did make a couple of comments regarding that. I suppose that helped seal his fate, and yes I suppose the Marcus fans also wanted him out too.

Thanks for your input folks Thumbs Up I just wanted to understand why as before I went away, Freddie seemed to be a force to be rekoned with after surviving so many evictions.

Yes then Marcus said thats why Freddie went, then he made a comment about Siavash the week they was up something like Siavash would go because he is against him I can't remember exactly what he said. I think it's good that housemates are confident, but they always get voted out because of it it's not a bad thing to be confident maybe they shouldn't have any confidence at all to stay in next year Big Grin.

Hi people wavey

I was away for the two weeks leading up to Freddies eviction.

I was just watching a couple of episodes on C4 catchup this afternoon, and I wondered:

why do you think Freddie was evicted over Marcus that week ?

Just interested to know a few peoples opinions.

Thankyou Smiler

Well my theory is probably wildly different to everyone else's. I think BB fiddled it. On the eviction night the one that the crowd boos the loudest is always the one that goes. Marcus was booed wildly, Freddie wasn't. I think BB wanted to make sure they got rid of Freddie when they did in case they didn't get another chance.

Marcus said: he wouldn't want to go up against me because he knows he would be out on his arse

Ohh yeah Marcus Laugh

I enjoyed that eviction more than any this series. Serve Marcus right for being cocksure, a backstabber, and a jealous git. Nod

i think freddie was evicted because people felt sorry for him and all the stick he was getting from Bea. Plus people thought only Marcus could handle Bea, and he was sure to show her up for what she was.it went around here that marcus needed to be saved becuase he was the only one who could sort the house out,(sadly that didnt seem to happen) and we lost the best housemate.
+ freddie said he thought he would be saved because marcus had said he wanted to go home so often..

As people have already said there is truth about both Marcus and Freddies confidence and oppinions of themselves, but it's also true that Bea had done a lot of damage to Freddie as well.

That's true. Nod

Bea played a great part in turning Freddie's popularity around.

Nod, he recovered his popularity back on the outside while Bea was digging her own hole even further Laugh, what joy her eviction brought me Devil.

Yeah I hate to say but Marcus mellowed and didn't really 'sort out Bea'. Not even when she was fake crying Roll Eyes over the '4m people watching' bit. The old Marcus would have told her to STFU. Big Grin

Bea was in total denial and had no self awareness, she's awful as Freddie said in there Big Grin Wink.

I can't believe how people want to twist the comment Marcus made to make it seem like the cocksure remark of Freddie. Marcus made that remark in anger and in the context of being with people who were also angry with Siavash. Freddie made the comment about being certain of surviving eviction calmly and several times in the house and in the presence of Marcus as well. There is no evidence that Marcus was certain he would survive in an eviction vote against Siavash.

As for Marcus beating Freddie I don't see why it surprises some people. Both were popular and would have been strong contenders in the final. A lot of their fans supported both and didn't bother to vote that week. Marcus was growing increasingly popular after the silly prejudice some had built up against him because of superficial factors and the image shown of him on shows like BBLB and BBBM. The fact that he was even in the frame against someone like Siavash (who was considered 'hot' by alot of the audience AND was a fencesitter) was an achievement in itself.
