O kay. Right! get to the bathroom run the water in the bath. Put some smellie things in then emerge yourself.....Drop every thing and just chill out to get your thoughts straight. You will feel better for it and it will enable you to deal with the situation!
Then come back on here and talk it through!

did they sort out your mums problems though? You haven't been around to ask. Why is she going back in?
As for the neighbours - I agree, it is distressing to hear them shouting at their kids and then hearing the kids screaming.
I live on a really large estate where the walls are made out of tissue and spit so I sympathise.
As figtree says, have a bath and chill. You'll feel better and then if it doesn't work at least you'll be all ready to go out for a walk

Now if it where me and the neighbours where playing up and I was feeling stressed, I would get out me baseball bat and stroll round there and politely ask them "to please be quiet".....

Aww, I've heard that kidney stones can be excrutiating
I'm sure that if they don't pass naturally then they will be able to laser them or whatever they do now.
Poor you and your mum

Poor you. Thankfully I haven't.
Did you need further treatment or did they just pass normally?
If it's a simple non invasive procedure to break them up then I don't understand why they would leave people in such pain while waiting for them to pass naturally

Poor you and your mum
they said if it hasn't passed within 4 weeks they will operate but they didn't specify what that would actually entail!!
Don't think they can do the laser procedure though because he stone is hidden behind a bone!!
I would think your mum is in the process of passing the stones or a stone,it's that that is causing the pain, but your mum may have more than one stone,I am sure they are giving your mum something to dissolve them, which will facilitate her to pass them.I've had them myself in the past, very unpleasant to say the least. When she's passed them she will be fine believe me.
Now get your hair washed and go and see her looking your best.Don't give her added stress,as I'm sure your mum is more worried about you than herself.
Thanks to everyone who posted in here today - sorry I didn't reply sooner!!
They let her come home and have given her stronger pain relief - touch wood that will keep pain away!!

Hopefully she will feel a bit better in herself just by being at home.
I always feel worse when I am in hospital, at least she will be able to relax at home.
Fingers crossed that the pain relief will help and that she won't need any surgery

I know hospitals always seem to make you feel worse - don't know how anyone manages to get better whilst in there!!
Jus praying now that it does come out by itself and surgery isn't needed!!

Mum is ok the pain has gone but she is just really tired now - they gave her morphine in the hospital so that has knocked her out!!
