hi CV. I was trying to highlight how worthless an academic achievement like an Oxford Degree can be when faced with non-academic cunning. It is no contest. I agree with you, there is a sad lack of education in the BB house this year. Some have difficulty reading the instructions sheets for the tasks, and I exclude Rodrigo and Siavash from that list as English is not their first language. BB shows have always throw up this factor though, and we always gasp at the lack of just general knowledge in some of them. But if it's not about Jordan and Pete or Girls Aloud, it's of no interest to them.

btw, I only get about 2-3 questions right on University Challenge each week Laugh

I'm ecstatic if I get 2 or 3 questions right. Laugh

Same here - he seems to be doped up on something - got no oomph at all - mumbles - makes no sense at all.

Made sense to me, his throat was hurting, if you're ill then you've got no oomph.

It is irritating when Siavash does the self-pity thing, but I can understand it to an extent.

One thing that has bugged me about David is that he chummed up with Lisa as soon as he could when he came into the house.
As a latecomer he knew about the block vote group and who made the voting decisions each week As a BB fan he knew that late arrivers usually don't last long.

So in he comes and trots over to the bus stop with a gift of tobacco.

Gameplan anyone?

You got it in one riversider! All Lisa needed at the time of the new arrivals were some new members/numbers to put the oomph back into the unfair block nominations, and David sure as hell knew this. Knowledge is a dangerous thing in the wrong hands, especially outside knowledge. Wink This knowledge got him (unfairly) into the final.

he is probably on medication for a throat infection. It also may be difficult for him to speak properly with a throat infection.

But he was singing his heart out at David's party. Confused

That's certainly the way I have always felt about him. The voice and the clothes and the gormlessness have been amusing at times but he has been the biggest gameplayer this year.

I'm sorry, like you, I have never bought into the saft boy act with David. He has an agenda. The agenda has got him into the final, so fair play to him for reading the situation. But there is something not to like about it all, it smacks of unfair game playing. Whereas Siavash is in the final in his own right by fair play. There really is a very marked difference in their respective right to be in the final.

Given that, what has been his excuse the previous 12 weeks.
