I'm quite knackered so a jar would save me loads of time, but I know it won't taste as nice, what should I do?

inever tried them, they're quite expensive aren't they, I've got one of those Jamie Oliver spicer shaker thingy's at home, it's great, sod it, I'll do real spices, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, all sorts, real tomatoes, mint yougurt and nan, basmati rice, can't wait!
Hope it goes well, have to say if l'm tired then the pre-prepared sauces are very good.
The issue we have with the sauces is that they are so salty, even the ones brought back from the Indian sub continent.
Just grab a take-out on the way home sorted.

Not so much the taste but the fact that there is a high salt content.
Myself I prefer marinated meat grilled. Tikkas and such. :yum: etc.
They are riversider and it's quicker than all the grinding of your own spices if you haven't the time.

Anything containing half a pound of butter tastes great. I'm surprised that they haven't started putting clotted cream on the pilau rice.

If you have an Asian grocers nearby try there, you can find the all the spices and veg you need to do it, and you know it's authentic as well.
