Their pep talks imo cover up their now insecurity at facing a public that may detest them.

There's going to be one heck of a lot of booing on the Final night. Laugh

Normally I dont like the booing, especially on eviction night, as I think they've earned their place etc etc etc....this year I am looking forward to it, because they haven't Big Grin....and I've never had a favourite who may win before!

Probably not to the same extent.
The closest I can think of was BB2 when 3 of the 4 finalists had never been up for eviction (Brian, Dean and Elizabeth).

Of course that was a shorter series with fewer HMs, and BB didn't muck around with nominations and evictions. Heck, they even allowed us to choose a new HM for ourselves...
Eugene's Lair
I remember most final weeks as being quite uneventful for the most part... and housemates being quiet and brooding, often shitting themselves about public reaction, or pondering leaving the big brother bubble, feeling institutionalised etc.

Often wished they'd talk more, or do more...

... this lot need to start with the shutting up and quiet reflecting already! Mad

That sums it up nicely, they're not there on the whole because we want 'em they're there because they planned it that way (and BB helped them).

I noticed it appeared to be the Dave and Lisa show last night. Together with the fact they picked them for the alien task, I am beginning to think they want one of these two to win now!
They obviously don't want siavash to win as having a hm who disregards the fundamental rules (nomming) winning, could set a precedent for others!

To be honest, even though I much prefer Siavash to Lisa and Dave, I don't think he should win.
He's moaned for weeks about how he 'hates the game' and wouldn't follow the rules. So why should be benefit from it?

The OP is right though - final weeks are usually a time when the last few settle in for a few days' peace before they leave, reminiscing about past HMs and the weeks they've spent in there.

This lot are like Gordon Brown gearing up for the next election. Roll Eyes

The only other final week in my recollection anywhere near this bad was BB8 with Brian Belo and the twins just going on and on and on about nothing. At least we had Jonty with his incipient naturism to keep us amused there.

This year there's no-one interesting left in there at all. i think I'm not even going to bother watching.

Fluffy... Laugh
