Yesterday I had a cervical smear test which was beyond belief awful (the nurse couldnt find it!)so it took hours tho ive never had probs before and it was so painful.

And today in the 6th form college my son has signed on to we had to queue up for everything.....fine thats not the prob but Im brassic so i had to queue in a different line for stuff because of my income and right next to people who were talking about spending ÂĢ14.000 a year for private education on their kids up till now...I felt like it was going to harm the kids seeing this they are there on merit after all

Oh crap I was supposed to have gone for mine last week and completely forgot! Eeker I hate them and it does bloody hurt. Poor you Hug

And the whole 6th form palava sounds shitty too. It's a really crap system to do it that way - you just hold your head up high amythist because you are helping your son to achieve his goals without the advantage of loads of money.

Aaw Amethyst - how awful for you - on both counts!

I have to confess that I no longer go for smear tests, mammograms or any other screening tests there might be - I would refuse treatment if they found anything in any case so cannot see the point. Since I lost my husband, I have no wish to live longer than I have to and I am not saying this to get sympathy. I really mean it!

With regard to having to queue separately, well that is downright discriminatory. I would complain bitterly!
