EXACTLY!!! OR a programme about the investigation into A4E for fraud that's curently on-going!

Thank god I am not hte only one. I was watching tv the toehr week and htey were talkinga bout a woman who took 600k over a number of years, and she and her daughter went to prison. I was like WHAT??? WHATTTT??? After what the politicians did, ****ing moat? Duck pond whatever else, even the not so ridiculous stuff... they STOLE hundreds of thousands of pounds and half of them are still working away as if nothing happened. The others resigned and nothing has been done!!! WTF is going on?

yeah but the difference is that most of the mp's acted within the rules - it was the rules at fault - however in this case the woman broke the law!!

no they never!
they all lied to various degrees
claiming for a non-exsistant mortgage is a lie
claiming for a house you dont live in is a lie
claiming for your relatives wages and they dont actually do any work-thats a lie..
loads more instances if you delve further

some of them broke the law but not all of them - obv the ones that broke the law should be punished just live benefit fraudsters should be punishe but you can't punish people for acting within rules which many mp's did!!!

who are you hazel blears!
a lot of MPs are thieves and should be treated as such
some folk take the piss and screw the system out of thousands-they should be done according to their circumstances-i agree
MPs blatenly take the piss and steal off us-but because they dont come from a 'sink estate' they think theyre exempt?
i dont think so sonny jim-they should be treated the same
like the other thieves

if you actually read what I am saying you will see that you are pretty much agreeing with me - I have said that those mp's who broke the law should bepunished like benfit cheats however not all mp's broke the law - some of them acted perfectly within the rules of expenses and in those cases you cannot punish them it is the system that needs to be changed!!

who the hell do you think made the RULES, the robbing scumbag barstewards made these RULES knowing they were morally wrong, so they could all happily rob tax payers and get away with it

there must have been some reason. Same for he girl who got laid off the telesales job.

If they were good workers i doubt they would have lost their jobs so soon after being taken on

did you actually watch the programme

It's well known that Continental Landscapes made loads of workers redundant - as soon as he was taken on i knew what was gonna happen - shame 'cos he enjoyed it so much.

As for Sherrelle and telesales - well! Ce la vie!!

it happens all too often i am afraid. it's cheaper for companies to hire staff on the day through agencies, get people to work for a smaller amount for a day, few days, few weeks...rather than take them on full time. there is something badly wrong with that system Frowner it's messed us about as a family many a time Frowner

And some of them haven't claimed second home allowances at all. That is, they've acted within the rules and acted honourably.

Also, fraudulent insurance claims are theft and the thieves should be treated accordingly.

the gardener got a letter from his employer commenting on his work and that he was no way responsible for his leaving, as someone asked, did you watch the programme?
machel
Just joining this discussion (a bit late !!). I have seen the programmes so far.

I do think it must be a bit demoralising for them that they undertake a position which lasts a few weeks before they are back on benefits.

But on the flip side, some of them seemed to have no motivatation whatsoever. When the lady went into a classroom and was offering the chance of a position, they all ignored her and looked like they were listening to an alien. They should have been jumping at the chance no matter how short.

Surely someone who is trying and taking up positions would be seem by employers as a tryer and more likely to get a permanent position over time.

Although I was pleased about the gardener guy, and he seemed pleased also, I was slightly worried about some underlying violent tendencies and also he appeared to have or was aquiring a drink problem. He really needed that job back to keep him on the straight and narrow.

Still an interesting prog.

no one seemed interested because the contracts were for 0 hours........so they would lose their benefits and MIGHT not got any work, then have to wait weeks for their benefits to be reinstated SO what are they supposed to live on, especially them with families,

TBF We haven't had the immigrant/indigenous definition debate for a few months now. Oddly enough my Dad is an immigrant, an OAP, and he fought in WWII.

How many generations we counting as being 'indigenous'? Cos I don't reckon there are that many pre-Roman Celts here and even they came from what is now Denmark and Germany.

So is indigenous pre-Homo Sapiens?

Having been face to face with various followers of Colin Jordan, Martin Webster, and Nick Griffiths Griffin over the years, definitely pre-Homo Sapiens, possibly Neanderthal.
