Kerry Katona recruited a legal aid lawyer before facing police questioning over her drug scandal, it has been claimed.
The troubled reality TV star was quizzed at Wilmslow Police Station over her possession of cocaine before receiving an official caution yesterday.
According to the Daily Star, Katona's lawyer was funded by taxpayers after she decided to take the legal aid route, which is traditionally used by people who are unable to afford other options.
Speaking in response to the news, one of the star's neighbours is quoted as saying: "She just has no shame. Anyone else facing drug charges might hide themselves away and spend the days worrying about what might happen to them. In Kerry's case it's a sunshine holiday getting pictured topless on a beach and photoshoots.
"And then she walks out with a caution for snorting a Class A drug. She's not even got a fine. Meanwhile, my taxes are paying for her lawyer - and she's wearing a Rolex and driving a BMW. Where is the justice in that? It's enough to make you pig sick."
Katona's bankruptcy, which was first announced in August last year, reportedly made her eligible for legal aid.
I wonder if he's from Iceland!
