Apart from the "non-HMs" false-start, we've had:

The "banned from nominating/immunity" twist from the Tudor task;

New HM going in (I know we expect that nowadays, but in the past that would have been considered a major twist.);

The new HM's secret task (This was meant to have a major affect on nominations/evictions, but was neutered by nomination discussions and Kenneth walking.);

Putting in HM's boyfriend/ex-boyfriend as new HMs;

Previous HMs entering the House to take part in the weekly task;

Allowing the HMs to discuss nominations (Technically a punishment, but I bet BB's been itching to do this for ages.);

Numerous other minor twists that have broken down the rules about "no contact with the outside world" (e.g. Aphrodite's date, giving the HMs magazines, etc);

More of the usual mucking-around with punishments.

In any previous series of Big Brother I would have thought that challenging BB would be a futile thing for housemates to do.
But I am not so sure now.
I think that to some extent BB has been a bit wrong-footed by some housemates (noteably Marcus.) So the producers have had to do some re-thinking. I think that has been good.
But as for twists from the producers - sadly lacking I think. When your ship is sinking I suppose you lose a bit of enthusiasm, but the creativity from BB has been pretty poor, unoriginal and a bit strained.
