I thought she admitted to having sex with Kris?

She said so to Noirin, and that's what the mag article was based on.

However Kris has denied it, and now Sophie is saying that she lied to Noirin.

I pointed out at the time that Sophie appeared to be thinking on her feet - looking for a bargaining device to get the secret out of Noirin that she had excitedly told Sophie about.

Sophie did not necessarily mean full sexual intercourse; sex has a variety of definitions; jumping to the most obvious conclusion does not necessarily equate to the right conclusion.

It's quite hilarious that a comment that might have meant very little to her at the time - and one she maybe doesn't even remember, has returned to haunt her now. You did point out your surprise that the media had not made more of it - BB seem to believe that it is worthy of more attention also! Big Grin

But this isn't particularly good coverage for Sophie - where as the inclusion of mummuy Marcus almost certainly is/was. Take a look on Oddschecker at who the money has been placed upon over the past 24 hours...

I saw the mummy thing later but the focus there was really on David rather than on Marcus I think. And as I've made clear before I would rather relatives/friends didn't get involved with the show, the focus should really be on the HMs.

You could say it showed Sophie badly in some ways, but it extends the story about her and Kris again. Some might say her saying now she won't get together with Kris again helps her.

Well, I don't think I'd call it "hilarious". I think it's a sobering reminder that the smallest comment made in the house can be blown out of proportion. It's also a reminder that it really isn't a good idea to tell a lie in there, no matter how well-intentioned your motives.

It reminds me of Alison back in BB3. She deliberately lied that she'd been peeing in the showers out of support for Johnny. Because of that lie, she picked up enough nominations to be up for eviction, and was voted out!
