they should of ley ronnie biggs out sooner aswell

I think is an awful decision - and what message does it send to the families of his victims? the only good thing about this is that the NHS won't have to pay for any treatment.

Many of the British relatives think he's either innocent, or at most a small pawn in a much larger conspiracy.

Most American relatives are extremely unhappy. However:
1) Culturally, the USA treats prisoners convicted of murder much more severely than the UK.
2) There has been very little coverage in the USA (compared with Scotland) of the new evidence in the case.

Just trying to get away from generalisations.

In light of the fact that he is dying and the suspicion that he might not be guilty, the right things was done today IMHO.

i'm pleased he has been released, dont care if he was guilty or not (i think not), he was released because he is going to die, on compassionate grounds, its the little thing that separates us as human beings to the animals that carry out bombings, we have the capacity to show compassion.
