I hadn't really heard him mention it before tbh. it is quite a big thing for anyone, are you saying he shouldn't talk about it ever??

I'm not a charlie fan at all but I don't think him or bb are over playing the sympathy card in this case. Everyone has a story. I think he would rather not win and have his mum better, his emotion seemed very genuine when he got that message.

He said he wanted to win for his mum, yes everyones got a story and sad ones too. He shouldn't win on his mothers illness, if he did win it should be on his own merit.

He mentions his mum's illness a lot. He also mentions that if he wins, the prize money will go towards her care and treatment. Fair enough to use the prize money in this way, but he shouldn't be mentioning this on the show. Especially mentioning it during the night when he knows thats when the live feed is on. He is using his mother's illness for sympathy and hoping to win on it. That is what is so wrong in my opinion.

If I was in the house, I'd like to win the show for my daughter (u all know) and maybe even my mother who had a brain haemorrage years and years ago... or maybe my auntie who's transplanted kidney is now failing after 8 years.... Nod Roll Eyes

Marcus Bently didnt help the situation by telling us all that she's in a coma...
He could quite as easily have said when Sofies turn came: 'dont you just feel soooooo sorry for Sooooofie, wanker left her a message tooooo, any body language person will tell you he's lying thru his teeth' - anyway - SHE seemed to get the 'loads of dosh' message Roll Eyes

Having known 2 people who went into coma, one survived, one didn't, I truly empathise with him and his family.

I just can't see how him winning would help her, only medical help and and at some later stage maybe when she starts to recover some kind of therapy if it's needed. I really hope she regains full health, that's the best "prize" anyone in their situation could receive.
