OUR IP had a bit of a melt-down yesterday and so we had no internet access from mid-afternoon yesterday until just a few hours ago! Apparently they ended-up having to wait for a new part before they could fix the fault!!!!!!!

Meanwhile, in other news, the Loch Arkaig Ospreys (Louis and Dorcha) have just laid their second egg and there has been quite a lot of interest in the other nest, the one that Louis and Aila used. There are cameras on both of these nests.
There are no birds settled on it yet, but it's not too late for a family to happen. A male, who has been christened Gary, because he fledged from a nest in Glen Garry) has been prepping the nest, but doesn't appear to have attracted a mate.....yet!

Looks like he's found one!
Since Saturday an un-ringed female has been visiting every day, she has been named AIDA, as in the opera. He's been bringing her fish and has tried mating with her. Although it hasn't been successful, she hasn't actually rejected him!

There's still a slim possibility it could happen this year, but is more likely to be next year.

It just doesn't stop!
Younger sister has just undergone a 10 hour op. to remove a growth from the side of her face, She's doing well, considering, but it's still early days. The consultant says full recovery could take 6 months, bot only time will tell!
