It was my birthday last week and this weekend I went to Nottingham to celebrate with my friends. My mum spent a fortune on food to provide for 10 for a whole weekend. Before I left the friend I was taking from home had to drop out because she had been told she has swine flu. Wasn't a massive deal because I still had my uni mates coming. Got to the house to find that the girl who owns the house hadn't topped up the electricity meter so the freezer and fridge had turned off and the food she had left in them (lots) had gone off, so I spent the first 2 hours cleaning mould up. Then after texting and phoning her like 10 times and still having no answer got NPower to put our electric back on. I was still thinking she was coming to my party though. 5 other people dropped out (the boys because they were a bit worse for wear) so my party was beginning to look a bit like a disaster but I figured my best mates were gonna be there so all good. Went to pick up 2 of my friends while my flatmate messed around on my comp. Came back to find that she had asked the other girl's cousin if he had any idea where she was and he had responded that she was still at home and had no intention of coming. She hadn't even had the decency to tell me. I tried not to let everything ruin my weekend but last night I got a text from her cousin saying the girl was going to phone me and sort everything out because she was really sorry. Still no phone call, email or text and she is sat online now ignoring me...I have to live with her next year and at the minute I don't even want to see her. sorry for the massive rant but I am so angry

ION - I have got back today from a family hol in Portugal and I feel a bit sad Trix - this will probably be the last time we all holiday together
Son is moving into his 2nd yr house this week.
Daughter is counting down the days till A2 results
awh Rexi don't be sad offer the kids the chance to go again, even if they go away with their mates as well they will probably jump at the chance
Hope your son's house is nice and he doesn't end with a bitch from hell
and your daughters results is it anxious waiting or is everyone confident she's knocked the socks o them?

He is sooo looking forward to it - I have told him of your experience thought, so I hope he learns from it.
She worked soooo hard Trix - all I can say is she deserves what she gets, because she could not have worked harder.
I'm okay about the holiday really - even if the biggies don't want to come, we still have a 15 yr old, so I spect next year will be her and a friend

Rexi I spose it must be hard, but it's just cos they're growing up
Well she emailed me
It was a sort of backhanded apology, she seemed to dump a load of blame onto me and tried to make me guilty. I have emailed her back telling her exactly how I feel so we will see how it goes.

my laptop got sent away for repair and when i came back it was all new and scary...
Yes its a very nice house, in the centre of the student area, I get a double bed for ÂĢ20 a week cheaper than I was being charged for the box room, and the new flatmates seem really nice, in fact one of them is going to be joining my course as well.

awwww Trix - hope it goes well - are you at home now, or in your Uni accom?
My boy is at home - he's found work (which involves having my car every day!!), but he just cannot wait to get back. He is sooo bored!!

I'm at home. I'm so bored, and mum is at home as well so we are getting stressy with each other.
