Hi Dexter fans Wave

When the Showtime hit returns, six months will have lapsed on screen, leaving newlyweds Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Rita (Julie Benz) the proud parents of a baby boy. "This season, we're going to deal with: Can a serial killer juggle a personal life, work, and his 'dark passenger'?" reveals executive producer Sara Colleton. "In other words, can Dexter have it all? Which is something all of us grapple with every day of our lives. So we're taking something that is a very human dilemma and putting it through the prism of Dexter's special needs."

Further complicating Dexter's intricate balancing act will be a new, as-yet-uncast male antagonist who will "cross paths with Dexter in a major, dramatic way," teases Colleton. "He will illuminate a lot about Dexter's life and force him to make some tough choices." (Word is they're looking for a "Jeff Daniels-type" to play the role.)

Meanwhile, Dex's plucky sister, Deb (played by Hall's real-life wife, Jennifer Carpenter), will unwittingly threaten to shed light on his dark secret. "All the way through the season, Deb -- in her need to know her father more -- is going to get closer and closer to figuring out who Dexter's mother was and her relationship with her father," says Colleton. So might the day come when Dex is forced to slice and dice her? "That is inconceivable to me," declares Colleton. "Deb and Dexter are the best brother-and-sister team ever." One could even call them...killer.

interestingly enough.. in the books deb is well aware of what dexter is... she is onside though.. but i haven't read them, so i don't know if she finds out during darkly dreaming dexter.. or in one of the later books. Smiler

the books really aren't canon if you are going by the show though.. big differences... thinking of buying one with my overtime to see. Smiler

***** MAJOR SPOILERS *****

i watched episode 1 a couple of days ago and i thought the name was a bit strange.

i did love the "remake" of the opening credits done after another night of no sleep with young harrison about 8mins in to the episode and john lithgows arse looked pretty good too.

DEXTER - SEASON FOUR TRAILER

Apparently in the UK we have to wait for Dexter s3 to air again on FX, then on ITV and then be released on DVD before s4 can be shown on FX.

Apparently the process was a little speeded up last year which is why s3 was shown a bit quicker on FX.

FX is currently showing Dexter s3 for the second time, not sure how far a long, maybe about halfway through. I'm guessing at the earliest January 2010.

I for one won't be waiting

this show hasn't really set a foot wrong yet... apart from quinn maybe... he does my head in.

I agree! Desmond Harrington(Quinn) is so skinny now too.......he looks anorexic Quinn is annoying and Deb was bound to end up with him, wasn't she! I don't trust him

Season 5 was amazing, a fine piece of television drama. I love how we get to know Dexter a little bit more with each series.

Am now having withdrawal symptoms and am thinking of trying to find somewhere to watch Season 6, which premieres in the US next week I think!
