As far as quality verses quantity as so many people seem to say when someone has a high post count ,I would rather post with darloboy than most , as he is a quality FM and that counts more than so called quality posts ,he is a lovely friendly guy who posts with everyone that is why he has a high post count well done darloboy

If the internet had been around when I was studying for exams I could well have seen myself posting here. Its a great place to relieve stress + just be silly during a very serious time.

its quite easy to study and be on here at the same time, all about the multitasking. I've been here loads over the past 2 weeks because I've been stuck in the house revising, and it's nice to just have something else going on in the background. After today I won't be around much at all because I'm free so I'm expecting to pop in and see darlo hit 30,000 by the end of next month

It took me a further 2 years to get to 20K

I was on CH4 for almost 5 years and couldn't manage more than 6000 posts in all.

Why is anyone bothered about how many posts someone has?

I don't understand this either. This is not going to go down very well with some, but as this is on a PUBLIC message forum, it invites responses of all types, from anyone reading, so I am as entitled to my opinion as anyone..

I must say that I find 10,000 posts in 33 days, nothing short of ridiculous and actually quite worrying. Of course, it's none of my business, but like I said in my first paragraph, as this message has been put on a public message forum, then everyone has the right to reply.

10000 posts in 33 days, (which is what it is,) is just over 300 posts a DAY and approx 2100 a week! In short, Darlo is doing nothing else with his life, except post on here, and no matter how many people say 'oh but Darlo is such a nice FM,' and 'you are so mean,' and 'he is a student and studies when he is not on here,' and so on: no-one can take away the fact that this is an abnormal amount of time to be on a message forum, especially for one so young. People shouldn't be congratulating Darlo, but asking him to seek help.

Also, I find it incredibly hard to believe that he is at college, as I know several young people who are at college and they certainly DO not, and CAN not spend 10 to 15 hours PLUS a day, posting at least 300 messages 'EVERY DAY,' on an internet forum, which Darlo often does... That's an insult to most hard working students, studying hard for A-levels, whilst often holding down a part time job.

I think Darlo needs to see someone about this obsession with posting on this forum: it's not healthy and it's not normal. This is not real life, these are not real friends, and this is a dangerous and ridiculous amount of time to be talking to people you don't even know.

Question is, if the post count was wiped each night, or there was no such thing as a post count; would he still keep posting? Because he wouldn't be able to accumulate such an insane amount of posts then...

Like I said, I know my comment won't go down well with some, but I am as entitled to my opinions as anyone else. And my opinion is that 10000 posts in 33 days is ridiculous and I find it almost impossible to believe that anyone who posts this often, is at college, and find it an insult to genuine students who work very hard.

So basically you are saying I don't work hard , oh I don't need to see anyone thank you lol. I work hard at College, maybe I do spend too much time on here but thats my business not theirs and plus it doesn't interfere wih my family life. I do study I work hard was there today , god to prove a point I think I might stay away but some of what you say is true .

It only matters because people keep mentioning it and bringing it up. Who's business is it if someone has 10,000 posts or 20,000 posts? If that is all that you have to worry about or concern yourself with, then you are very lucky indeed.

Thank you LL , no-one knows what my RL is life it's quite fun, so for people to kinda judge what they think it is like for me is quite weird in a way .
