It costs nothing, they are charity based. I fear that the charities won't be able to cope with the work load...they can only afford so much 

I live near the hospital so hear loads of ambulances ....and see the odd helicopter 

I do live (within reason) close to a hospital, but a lot of the services have been outsourced to Sunderland Hospital. Much more difficult to get to 

Yes , some of our specialist services / operations are outsourced to Manchester ....but the main hospital still had a very good range of services ....and only a 5 minute walk ...or one minute car ride away
