If the Inalnd Revenue think that any MP has been involved in property speculation like systematically buying a property, doing it up, selling it, and repeating this on a regular basis, if the MP is found not to have been properly living in the property but just claiming they have to avoid capital gains tax, then the Revenue can claim that the MP is trading in property and get the whole profit taxed.
