Reply to "Favourite Christmas films"

Another of my favourite festive films is the Alan Ayckborn play 'Absurd Person Singular'. Made by the BBC, I believe, back in the 1980s, it was shown once and then never seen again. Another one that didn't make it to DVD. I think this probably means that most of the films I like are so ghastly that no-one can bear to see them again so they disappear without trace. 'Absurd Person Singular' had an excellent cast, though, including Michael Gambon, Prunella Scales, Nicky Henson, Cheryl Cambell, Geoffrey Palmer and Maureen Lipman. Wickedly funny.
