That's fair enough. But what if you don't want to be notified about ANYTHING via e-mail, just alerts and ticker?
Well, you could try unticking all the "Instant Email" boxes, and leave the appropriate "My Alerts" and "Site Ticker" boxes ticked. I haven't personally tried this so I cannot guarantee that nothing will slip through, but the options do look comprehensive.TBH though, if you are absolutely certain that you don't want to receive any e-mails, ever, then the "Suspend All Email Notifications" would be appropriate - just as long as you are aware that you may miss something important. There are some notifications that are only really meaningful as e-mails, e.g. ban and unban notices.
My one concern about this all-along has simply been that a lot of FMs seem to have leapt for the "Suspend All" option without really considering the consequences.
