One of the channels showed "The Shooting" yesterday. It was made in 1966, a western, a PG certificate as what violence is in it is mild. Apparently it's a very odd western. One reviewer compared it to Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot". Another though it was closer to an Alain Resnais film, not that he ever made westerns. Alain Resnais was a French film director, I think you would find his films didn't tick any of your boxes

Then yesterday I watched 'Pillow Talk' & 'The Duke'
