Well, it can't be as simple as that, as you also have to explain how she died in Victorian London as well (as we saw in the Christmas special).
A simple (and probably wrong) guess is that there are multiple versions of her from parallel universes, but yeah: I think we're going to have to wait till the end of the series to find out!

But in the Christmas special the Doctor realised at the end that she was the one who had been in the Dalek and wanted to know how she got out. And tonight he made reference to her being a Nanny (it's very Victorian) 'just like....'

Besides the Clara mystery there seems to be another mystery from yesterday's episode. I'll hide it below not to spoil it for those you haven't seen the episode yet. Use mouse to highlight the text.
The Great Intelligence seen right at the end was played by Richard E Grant who played the part of Dr Simeon in the Christmas special The Snowmen. There must be a connection between The Great Intelligence and Dr Simeon.
Hmm.... not so sure about that.
But as we know, just about anything can happen....and often does!
Watching it this morning and loving it. Also Jenna-Louise Coleman is gorgeous!

I loved it - glad to have it back. I have only one complaint.
Why do they all type like two year olds?
I loooved the new episode and Clara is a fab assistant...though I miss my Rory 
Looking forward to how it all evolves and the twist at the end was a good one...the writers are superb and have always managed to tie everything together so well, including Torchwood when it was on (I miss that too).

Oh, I loved Torchwood too Mrs B. As for Rory - you can always watch him being suspected of murder in Broadchurch for a few more weeks. He doesn't suit being a Vicar though.
I'm really liking Clara too.
I really like Clara too. She's made a big impact in a very short time!
And Matt was amazing as usual!

I am seriously hoping that the rumours of him leaving at xmas are wronger than a very wrong thing...i got very wobbly lipped when I heard. He is my fave Dr ever...he has even surpassed Peter Davison and his leek!

haha - that would be class! I just heard the rumour about Matt going yesterday - I hope it's not true either, but hey ho.... I was devastated when Christopher Eccleston only did one season, then they gave me David Tennant and i thought i'd never get over him going - but I love Matt. I was gutted when Christopher Eccleston left as well...he was so different...I liked Tennant but he seemed a tad too smug and up himself to me...though I did love any scene he did with The Cribbens...they were brilliant together! Matt just seem as though he was born to be the Dr...and he is brilliant with Alex Kingston, the chemistry is amazing.

It's that bizarre logic also used by Hollywood (e.g. "Swordfish") where the more frantic and random your key-thumping becomes, the more successful your hacking is!
It reminded me of a comment I read a while back from an amateur pianist, about how he cringed everytime he watched Sam (Dooley Wilson) thump the piano keys in "Casablanca". (In real life, Wilson was a drummer, not a pianist...)

So, Doctor Who has this sonic screwdriver which can open doors, control computers, be used as a medical scanner and probably many more things I have seen but not remembered.
But have you noticed that he uses it without making any form of adjustment, it always seem to get the results within a short time frame and he rarely looks at it for any length, which I would guess he would need to so that he could read and interpret the results.
...and I see no buttons or display.
